WOW: Professional Women Artists of Utah
DSU Cultural Arts under the leadership of Curator Kathy Cieslewicz has partnered with the Maynard Dixon Gallery in Mt. Carmel, Utah to present the “WOW” outreach program. Professional artists from Utah and the region meet at the Maynard Dixon Gallery each spring to paint, network, relax, and support one another. Kathy Cieslewicz originated the group and facilitates the event; Paul and Susan Bingham, owners of the Maynard Dixon Gallery host the event; and Dixie State University sponsors this group.
Evening for Educators
Evening for Educators is an annual event sponsored by Dixie State University. One of the longest-running programs of the State Wide Art Partnership (SWAP) is the Evening for Educators series. These events are held on average once a month during the academic year, at locations across the state of Utah. The event at Dixie State University is held in February as part of the ____event. Participating teachers are able to attend several classes to introduce new ideas for their classrooms. Teachers may receive inservice credit for attending these events.
Each Evening for Educators features a keynote speaker and hands-on workshops designed to help teachers integrate the night’s theme into their curriculum. A packet of lesson plans is made available on the DSU E4E Facebook page.
