POSITIONING STATEMENT
Women Out West Professional Artists of Utah and the region meet at the Maynard Dixon Gallery, in Mt. Carmel, Utah, each spring to create, paint, network, relax, and support one another. WOW is used as an acronym.
MISSION STATEMENT
WOW: Women Out West Professional Artists of Utah is an organization to gather professional fine art women artists in an informal atmosphere to network, gain friendships, and to make art together.
HISTORY
Dixie State University, in St. George Utah, Cultural Arts Department, sponsors this group. Kathy Cieslewicz, DSU Curator, originated the group and facilitates the event;
Paul and Susan Bingham, owners of the Maynard Dixon Gallery and Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts host the event.
BECOMING A MEMBER
- Be invited by current member.
- Be a highly professional fine art artist.
- Submit artist bio, artist resume including a list of collectors and museums, and artist statement in a Microsoft Word document.
- Submit 1 headshot and 6-8 images of your art. Images must be high resolution; at least 5MB or higher.

After this meeting, everyone is invited to paint, photograph, sketch, etc., from an area that includes the Dixon home where we will be eating. This way everyone will “see” it differently and have something fun to show after dinner.
